Litigation partners Thomas Sullivan and Kristofor Henning and associate Franco Corrado co-authored an article, "Recent Trends in Data Security Class Actions and Considerations For Minimizing the Risk of Such Cases," that provided a detailed overview of data security class actions and delved into the causes of these class actions, the theories of harm that plaintiffs have asserted in response to data breaches, and general trends and the courts' response to some of these claims and theories. The article also offered suggestions for minimizing exposure to data breach litigation.
