Partners Jonathan Lotsoff and Stephanie Sweitzer and associate Patrick Duffey authored an article for The Corporate Lawyer, an Illinois State Bar Association publication, about legislation that amends the Illinois Freedom to Work Act. The article recommends that Illinois employers review their restrictive covenant agreements to ensure compliance with the amended Act, which formalizes common law principles and imposes new requirements that affect the enforceability of noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements.
