The UAE’s New AI and Data Authority, The Oath

The authors advise businesses to prepare for increasingly structured AI and data governance expectations by identifying material AI-use cases, applying risk-based review processes, integrating AI and privacy compliance, strengthening vendor diligence and contractual controls, maintaining meaningful human oversight, and documenting governance decisions. These measures can help organizations adapt as the new Authority begins defining its priorities and further guidance and requirements emerge.
