Jason (“J.R.”) Scherr is a seasoned trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience representing public and private companies in complex commercial and class action disputes. J.R.’s practice focuses on the securities, intellectual property, and governance issues facing corporate boards and consumer-facing enterprises across industries.
J.R. has handled US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other governmental investigations for major financial institutions. He serves as national counsel for large lenders/servicers and investment funds and lead trial counsel in multiple business disputes and class actions challenging allegedly deceptive trade practices, unfair competition, licensing violations, and consumer claims.
A lifelong resident of Maryland, J.R. is active in the Maryland bar and devotes his pro bono services to organizations in his local community of Montgomery County.
