Cory Christian Morris
Cory Christian Morris assists domestic and international companies and inventors with protecting, evaluating, and enforcing intellectual property rights across a range of sophisticated technologies. His patent practice includes work involving semiconductors and microelectronics, energy and nuclear technologies, quantum computing, software and artificial intelligence, medical devices, and other advanced technologies.
Drawing on his background in mathematics and physics, Cory prepares and prosecutes patent applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), assists clients in patent litigation before US district courts, and provides patent counseling, including analyses concerning patent invalidity and noninfringement. His technical and research experience includes work involving nanoparticle self-assembly under applied electric and magnetic fields, as well as experimental research in aerodynamics and projectile motion.
During law school, Cory externed in the chambers of Judge Jimmie V. Reyna of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. There, he gained experience with appellate practice and complex intellectual property matters arising from the court’s substantial patent docket.
In addition to his intellectual property practice, Cory provides pro bono representation to unaccompanied children who have experienced abandonment, abuse, or neglect as they pursue lawful permanent residency in the United States.
