Partner Kelly Gibson is quoted in a The Wall Street Journal article covering the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) climate disclosure proposal. During the publication’s CFO Network Summit, Kelly said there is a chance the SEC could scale back its Scope 3 proposal, which would require companies to report greenhouse gas emissions from all parts of their supply chain.
“Scope 3 is one of the most contested parts of the proposal and I think it’s the most challenging for companies,” Kelly said. “I could see the commission dialing it back a little bit.”
