ABU DHABI, DUBAI, May 19, 2023: Morgan Lewis partner Alishia Sullivan has been recognized by Law.com International as the winner of the Championing Diversity–Private Practice category as part of its 2023 Middle East Legal Awards.
The category highlights significant impacts made in diversity and inclusion measures. Alishia was recognized among other areas for her active participation and role as vice chair of the Middle East Advisory Committee for 100 Women in Finance, a global organization whose mission is to empower women to achieve their professional potential at each career stage by promoting diversity, raising visibility, and motivating women in finding their path to success.
Within the firm, Alishia helps shape the ML Women initiative to support the development of women professionals and is involved with several pro bono efforts, including support for a nonprofit that helps vulnerable women and children in Ethiopia, as well as the development of a handbook to help impact investment fund managers gain a greater practical understanding of legal matters. Alishia has also curated panel discussions on the role of women in a sustainable future and sustainability trends in the Middle East. In her private practice, Alishia primarily advises pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors in connection with their global investment activities across asset classes, focusing primarily on investments in private funds, co-investments, and bespoke managed account arrangements.
