Partner Peter Sharp and associate Keir Baker commented in an article in Ishka discussing an English High Court case that confirmed the enforceability of provisions providing for significant termination payments from a defaulting airline following the termination of an aircraft leasing arrangement using a JOLCO Structure.
Peter noted the positive reaction from market participants. “This will primarily be parties involved in structures that have similarities to the JOLCO Structure,” he said. “But there are things to like for the aircraft leasing community more generally, too.”
