New DOJ Corporate Crime Approach May Deter Self-Reporting, Law360

Partners Sandra Moser and John Pease, along with associate Emily Kimmelman, authored an article for Law360 discussing the changes to the US Department of Justice's (DOJ’s) corporate criminal enforcement policies, which were highlighted during US Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco’s recent keynote address at the American Bar Association’s National Institute on White Collar Crime. The real impact of the DOJ's announcement has yet to be seen, they write, “but could result in companies being less willing to self-report corporate wrongdoing and thereby unravel years of progressive efforts by the department to incentivize companies to come forward.”
