Allison L. Edwards
Allison L. Edwards focuses her practice on advising and representing registered and private funds and fund managers on a wide range of legal, regulatory, and transactional matters, including fund formation, ongoing compliance, and corporate governance. She also works with investment adviser and broker-dealer clients with respect to registration and disclosure and transactions in exchange-traded funds.
While in law school, Allison interned for the Division of Investigations in the Office of Enforcement at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and served as the vice president of finance for the Georgetown Law First Generation Student Union. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Emerging Issues in Financial Services Regulation.
Allison’s prior experience includes serving as the government relations manager for an international trade association representing leading manufacturers of heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment in Washington, DC. In this role, Allison represented the industry’s interests on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures, contributing to the development and implementation of federal, state, and local legislative and policy initiatives. Beyond her background in government affairs, she has additional experience in real estate and retail banking and previously worked for a Fortune Global 500 property and casualty insurance company.
