With experience providing counsel in a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters relating to derivatives, futures, digital assets, structured finance, and banking, Nikita Cotton focuses her practice on legal, regulatory, and enforcement matters relating to activities under the jurisdiction of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Nikita’s clients include financial institutions, investment funds, swap dealers, futures commission merchants, registered exchanges, fintechs, commodity trading firms, private credit firms, and others.

While in law school, Nikita served as a full-time extern at the US Securities Exchange Commission in the Cyber Unit, and was a research assistant to current Federal Reserve Governor Michael S. Barr in the University of Michigan’s Center on Finance, Law & Policy.
