Daily Journal Recognizes Seth Gerber and Brent Hawkins as Top IP Lawyers

CENTURY CITY and SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, 2026: The Daily Journal has named Morgan Lewis partners Seth Gerber and Brent Hawkins to its 2026 list of the Top Intellectual Property Lawyers in California, an annual recognition highlighting leading California-based lawyers and their contributions to the field of IP law.

Seth manages a robust, high-volume trade secrets litigation practice with cases covering a broad range of confidential and trade secret information, from customer data to advanced technologies. His experience includes matters involving semiconductors, electric fracking equipment, and custom-engineered parts for the aerospace, space, and military industries. He also counsels clients on identifying, classifying, and protecting their confidential trade secrets and other proprietary assets.

Over a 25-year legal career, Brent has served as lead counsel in numerous patent, trademark, copyright, and other complex litigations across multiple industries, with a focus on technology, automotive, and consumer products. He is a co-leader of the firm’s automotive and mobility industry team and has handled patent matters involving in-vehicle infotainment systems, electric vehicle charging technology, navigation and route guidance software, diesel engines, and fuel injectors. Brent is also the San Francisco office managing partner.
