PLI’s Environmental Regulation in Practice 2022: New Challenges and Priorities

Practising Law Institute’s (PLI’s) Environmental Regulation in Practice 2022: New Challenges and Priorities will analyze current regulations and critical developments in environmental law.

Litigation partner Duke McCall is a co-chair of the seminar and will provide and introduction and the opening remarks. Duke will speak on the panel, “Safe Drinking Water and Emerging Contaminant Developments,” that will address an update on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law; post-Flint, Michigan scrutiny of drinking water systems; perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS)/ perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and 1,4-dioxane litigation and regulation; and the interplay of common law and statutory remedies.

Litigation partner Bryan Killian will speak on the panel, “Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and Appellate Environmental Law Updates,” that will examine environmental issues being litigated by the US Supreme Court and federal appellate courts; the latest rulemaking initiatives and challenges; good neighbor provision petitions; and recent citizen suit and enforcement case law.
