US issuers should consider tailoring their risk factors to address their business relating to China and benchmark these risk factors against their peers. Reliance on generic risk factors when doing business internationally may not properly inform investors of matters an issuer may face when engaging in certain China-related activities, and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) discourages such boilerplate disclosure.
