Employee benefits associate Rachel Mann presented during the Philadelphia Bar Association’s (PBA) webinar SECURE Act of 2022: A Functional Checklist of Changes to Employer Retirement Plans.

The SECURE Act 2.0 of 2022 (SECURE ACT 2.0) mandates numerous changes to retirement plans for employees and includes elective provisions that many employers will want to consider. This program summarized noteworthy changes affecting qualified retirement plans after the passage of SECURE Act 2.0 and other recent plan developments. Some of the changes discussed included the treatment of part-time employees, required minimum distributions, and 401(k) plan age 50 catchup elections.

Rachel spoke alongside Robert S. Kaplan, member of the employee benefits and executive compensation practice at Cozen O'Connor and vice chair of PBA’s Employee Benefits Committee; Michael Shapson, director of Global Human Resource Services at PwC; and Matthew Whitehorn, partner at Dilworth Paxson LLP and co-chair of PBA’s Employee Benefits Committee.
