While the EU Representative Actions Directive has applied to all member states since June 2023, member states have been moving at different paces, and with different priorities, to transpose the universal minimum-standards requirements into national law. While some member states already have active collective action regimes, others are adapting to the minimum requirements of the Directive.
Join us as we dive into the macro and micro aspects of the Directive, the opportunities it creates for consumers in EU member states, and how it could affect international companies with EU operations.
Topics will include:
- A brief overview of the Directive’s impact on EU member states
- The impact on member states already maintaining active collective action regimes
- Developments in member states to date, especially in France and Germany
- Addressing the potential risks for international corporations doing business in the EU
- UK and US perspectives
