IP Year in Review Conference 2026

Thursday, February 05, 2026

Associate Erin McGuine will be speaking at the Boston Bar Association’s 2026 IP Year in Review Conference on the panel AI, Dupe Culture, and Look-Alikes: Recent Developments in Trademark Law.

The annual conference brings together leading in-house counsel, legal scholars, and practitioners to discuss the most significant developments in intellectual property law from the past year, including trade secrets damages, patent prosecution trends, Patent Trial and Appeal Board and Federal Circuit decisions, and the growing role of AI across trademarks and copyright.

Erin and her fellow panelists will examine emerging AI-related trademark issues, the rise of “dupe culture,” and notable university trademark disputes as well as share practical insights for protecting trademarks in an era of rapid innovation and imitation. Erin’s panel will take place on Thursday, February 5, at 3:15 pm ET.
