DC Impact Investing Industry Panel & Reception

Join us for a panel discussion about key person protections and succession planning then mingle with others in the impact investing community in a rooftop reception.

Panel: 4:00–5:00 pm          

The panel will feature Catherine Godschalk, chief investment officer at Calvert Impact, and Morgan Lewis associate Mark Conrad. This discussion will explore key person protections and succession planning through the lens of impact investment funds and the firms that sponsor them. The panel will cover how traditional key person provisions translate to impact funds, including whether the departure of individuals central to a firm’s impact strategy or mission should trigger protections alongside the loss of investment leadership. The discussion will also cover considerations for impact funds in making investment decisions along with succession planning more broadly and the challenges impact firms face in preserving investment discipline, institutional knowledge, and mission through leadership transitions.

Reception: 5:00–7:00 pm

The rooftop reception will have beverages, appetizers, and great company. Here’s to hoping for good weather!
