Stablecoins: Monetary and Regulatory Challenges

Partner Hubert de Vauplane will be speaking at Stablecoins: Monetary and Regulatory Issues, a conference organized by Orléans University, the Louis Bachelier Institute, and Paris-Saclay University.

The conference will bring together economists, academics, and legal experts to examine the monetary and regulatory issues arising from the growing role of stablecoins. Discussions will explore regulatory developments in the United States, Japan, and the European Union as well as developments in the European regulatory framework in the context of the review of the Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA).

Hubert’s presentation, The Review of MiCA: Key Issues for Stablecoin Regulation, will form part of a broader discussion of challenges under the European regulatory framework, including the protection of stablecoin holders in the event of custodian insolvency and issues arising from multi-issuer stablecoin arrangements.
