SAN FRANCISCO AND WASHINGTON, DC, August 7, 2020: Morgan Lewis partners Charlene (Chuck) Shimada and Grace Speights have been named to Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation for 2020.
The annual list recognizes women lawyers who participated in some of the most impactful litigation over the past year. Benchmark Litigation's editorial team compiles the list based on research that includes client and peer feedback. Chuck and Grace were also named to the Top 250 Women in Litigation in 2019.
Grace, leader of the firm’s labor and employment practice and leader of the firm’s multidisciplinary workplace culture consulting team, handles high-profile, high-stakes workplace matters and is often called on by clients for crisis management assistance. She defends clients against employment discrimination claims, particularly class actions, and claims of discrimination in public accommodations.
Chuck’s practice focuses on securities litigation defense, corporate governance, class actions, and complex commercial litigation. She represents issuing corporations, officers and directors, underwriters, and public accounting firms in private litigation and in government investigations and proceedings.
