PHILADELPHIA, February 25, 2021: Morgan Lewis represented Fanatics Inc., an online and in-venue retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, in a 50-50 joint venture with Hillhouse Capital Group, an Asia-focused private equity firm.
Morgan Lewis partners Kevin Shmelzer and Richard Aldridge, and associates Andrew Rocks and Lindsay Mozdziock are representing Fanatics, along with partners Karen Butcher, Greg Hartker, and Don Shelkey, and associate Lauren Docktor.
In the last year, Morgan Lewis counseled Fanatics in its $350 million Series E investment round, acquisition of WinCraft, and an equity investment in Barnes & Noble Education Inc. (BNED), along with a merchandising partnership between BNED, Lids, and Fanatics.
