Colleen Nihill, the firm’s chief knowledge management and practice services officer, shared her predictions for remote work and the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 as the legal industry enters 2022. The increased flexibility by firms amid the pandemic has resulted in more urgency to adopt digital transformation, Colleen said. Firms who do this right will “1) build teams who understand the business of law and how technology can improve client service; 2) increase communication between lawyers to share how best practices in one case can be applied across multiple areas of practice; and 3) design an operational approach that embraces change and the rapid development of new tech solutions that incorporate and adapt to the end-user’s feedback in real time,” she said.
