LOS ANGELES, BOSTON, December 17, 2021: Morgan Lewis has advised global alternative investment manager Ares Management Corp. in raising $2.2 billion to invest in climate infrastructure.
Ares raised approximate $1.4 billion for its inaugural Ares Climate Infrastructure Partners Fund (ACIP), and $800 million in related transaction vehicles. ACIP invests across the capital structure in equity, preferred equity, and structured debt of assets and companies that, among other characteristics, are accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
ACIP is partnered with Aligned Climate Capital LLC, an asset manager providing an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) screening and reporting framework as well as support in sourcing investments for the fund. ACIP reached final fund closing on December 15.
