PHILADELPHIA, December 3, 2021: Morgan Lewis jointly represented The Kimmel Center and The Philadelphia Orchestra Association on the formation of a new parent company, The Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center, Inc., which will be led by Matias Tarnopolsky as president and CEO. The new parent company brings together both organizations under an innovative governance model and builds upon the missions of both companies to provide opportunities for world-class, wide-ranging performances by a diverse and inclusive roster of artists and companies.
The Kimmel Center engages Philadelphia’s diverse communities with art through performance and education and is among the largest performing arts centers in the United States. The Philadelphia Orchestra, founded in 1900, is one of the world’s preeminent orchestras, sharing performances, innovative programming, and robust educational and community initiatives with the Philadelphia region and beyond.
