Another Round of Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs, Am Law Litigation Daily

Partners Brian Shaffer and Elisa McEnroe and associates Matt Klayman and Caitlin Barrett were mentioned in AmLaw Litigation Daily for scoring a big summary judgment win on behalf of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, the nonprofit that certifies foreign-educated medical school graduates for eligibility to enter US residency programs. US District Judge Joshua Wolson in Philadelphia denied emotional distress claims brought by patients treated by an obstetrician-gynecologist who was certified based on what turned out to be fraudulent information. Judge Wolson concluded that “there are too many ways that someone can suffer trauma as a result of viewing a memory through a new prism.”
