Chief Knowledge Management and Practice Services Officer Colleen Nihill was quoted by The American Lawyer in an article examining how major US law firms are using generative artificial intelligence (AI). Colleen said that, similar to other firms, Morgan Lewis does not allow the technology to be used with client data and personal information.
“The policy prevents using client information,” said Colleen, adding that the firm has installed safeguards to help lawyers properly use publicly available generative AI tools.
