World Cancer Day: How HR Can Support Staff in Their Time of Need, International Employment Lawyer

Partner Louise Skinner and associate Aaron Grant are quoted in an International Employment Lawyer article commenting on ways in which employers can provide reasonable adjustments for an employee with a cancer diagnosis.

“For employees with cancer, or undergoing treatment, provided they are well enough and able to work, reasonable adjustments could mean working different hours or having extra breaks and time off for medical appointments,” Louise and Aaron said. “Similarly, depending on the severity of the diagnosis or the type of treatment, employees may benefit from entitlements under enhanced sick pay, leave, or income protection policies where they are not fit to work for a prolonged period of time.”
