NEW YORK, May 13, 2025: Morgan Lewis continues to expand its global investment management team with the arrival of partner Anthony “Tony” Zacharski, resident in New York. Arriving from Dechert, Tony represents US registered open-end and closed-end funds, their boards of directors, investment advisers, and other service providers in operations, corporate governance, compliance, enforcement, and litigation matters.
"As the asset management space evolves, Tony’s strategic insight advising across a wide range of fund products will strengthen our ability to guide clients through their most innovative product development initiatives,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Tony’s strong market reputation, legal and business acumen, and deep industry experience complement our financial services and investment management practices.”
“Tony’s arrival broadens our market-leading global investment management practice. A trusted adviser to clients on fund-related issues, Tony’s addition will enable us to expand client relationships and establish new ones—we are thrilled to welcome him to the team,” said Timothy Levin, leader of the firm’s investment management practice. “His joining Morgan Lewis could not come at a more exciting time, as our clients are busy constructing innovative products to meet client demands in an environment where the SEC has expressed that it is open to new ideas,” he added.
Tony has spent over two decades counseling clients on new product design and implementation, fund reorganizations, financial operating company transactions and changes in control, regulatory filings and disclosures, SEC inquiries and investigations, and adapting to emerging regulatory requirements and changing industry practices. Tony also maintains a strong interest in fund governance and regularly counsels independent trustees.
Morgan Lewis continues to add practice and geographic breadth to its 170-member investment management practice, with recent additions including former Commodity Futures Trading Commission general counsel Rob Schwartz; partners Hugues Bouchetemble, Nicolas Capelli, Hubert de Vauplane, and Gilles Saint Marc, who joined on January 1 as part of a 54-lawyer, multipractice team in Paris; secondaries partner Ted Craig in London; financial services litigator Stacie Hartman in Chicago and New York; private funds partner Leonora Shalet in New York; partner trio Mark Parise, Todd Zerega, and Betselot Zeleke to multiple East Coast offices; and former SEC private funds branch head Christine Ayako Schleppegrell in Washington, DC.
