BOSTON, August 29, 2025: Four Morgan Lewis lawyers have been recognized as part of Law.com’s New England Legal Awards, which honor professional excellence in law in Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Partner Laurie Cerveny was named a finalist for Merger and Acquisition Attorney of the Year; partner Rachelle Dubow was shortlisted for Regional Managing Partner of the Year; and partner Ben Stein and associate Michael Polovich each made the list of New England Rising Stars.
Laurie has more than 25 years of experience counseling on mergers and acquisitions, ongoing disclosure and reporting requirements, corporate governance, and various other matters affecting US and multinational public and private companies and their officers, boards, and directors. Laurie serves as one of the firm’s three global managing partners and as a member of the firm’s international leadership council.
Rachelle serves as managing partner of the firm’s Boston office, which includes nearly 200 lawyers handling complex matters across many sectors, including energy, financial services, retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, technology, life sciences, and sports. Rachelle’s practice focuses on counseling, protection, and licensing of intellectual property rights, with an emphasis on trademark prosecution and global brand management.
Ben represents public and private companies in a variety of corporate transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and debt financings, and US Securities and Exchange Commission registered securities offerings. He counsels public companies with respect to securities disclosure issues, corporate governance matters, New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq compliance issues, and reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Michael practices commercial and complex litigation through trial and on appeal. Noted for his creative thinking and thoughtful problem solving, Michael handles business-to-business litigation, post-merger disputes, products liability, intellectual property, and class actions and mass arbitrations. His clients include medical device, life science, and healthcare companies, along with those in the retail and ecommerce, energy, banking, real estate, and technology industries.
Winners will be announced at an awards dinner on October 23 in Boston.
