Morgan Lewis Secures Pro Bono Win for Disabled US Army Veteran

April 01, 2026

Morgan Lewis successfully represented a disabled US Army veteran before the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in collaboration with the National Veterans Legal Services Program. After years of being denied certain service-connected disability benefits, Morgan Lewis secured a win for a disabled US Army veteran after filing an appeal before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals challenging prior VA denials of service-connected disability benefits.

The successful appeal entitled the veteran to more than triple his monthly disability compensation benefits and retroactive compensation. The Morgan Lewis team included investment management partners Mark Parise and Todd Zerega, with energy and project development associate Justine Huang and labor and employment associate Abigail Guyon.
