Morgan Lewis Hires Covington Partner To Lead Europe M&A, Law 360
May 12, 2026Following the announcement of Phil Cheveley’s upcoming arrival to the firm as European mergers and acquisitions (M&A) practice lead, Law360 interviewed Christina Melendi to discuss the firm’s investment in expanding its global platform and M&A capabilities.
Christina emphasized London’s strategic role as a central hub connecting the firm’s cross-border M&A and private equity work across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, highlighting the importance of integration across offices and client bases.
She stated, “Our European clients work with our partners in London, and our clients that are based in London work with our partners in Europe. And that goes throughout [Europe, the Middle East and Africa] and the U.S.”
