Morgan Lewis Earns Two Honors at 2026 LMG Life Sciences Awards Americas

Intellectual property partner Julie Goldemberg was named Patent Attorney of the Year – Pennsylvania, and the firm’s work on behalf of the University of Pennsylvania was recognized as Patent Impact Case of the Year – United States.
Morgan Lewis represented the University of Pennsylvania in securing a significant victory before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which reversed a district court decision invalidating patent claims covering gene therapy host cells developed through the university’s gene therapy program. The decision allows the case to proceed to trial, where the plaintiffs are seeking more than $900 million in damages.
