Where States Jumped in When SEC Stepped Back in 2025, Law360
January 13, 2026Partner Jason Pinney and associates Dana Bach and Joseph Brav co-authored an Expert Analysis article for Law360 about how state attorneys general (AGs) increased their securities law enforcement activity in 2025 as the US Securities and Exchange Commission stepped back.
The authors examined the areas in which state AGs have already stepped up their focus, including cryptocurrency and ESG matters, and noted key areas to watch in 2026, including artificial intelligence and retail access to private markets.
