Jeff Goldman
Jeff Goldman represents financial services firms, auditors, broker-dealers, investment advisers, and other companies in complex civil litigation, regulatory proceedings, and internal risk reviews. Jeff has first-chair experience at the trial and appellate levels. He regularly represents clients before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state regulatory agencies. Clients praise Jeff’s ability to manage matters that require both practical litigation skills and a sophisticated understanding of the securities laws and financial markets.
Jeff has tried matters across the country and litigated disputes arising from transactions in Central America, Asia, and Europe. In one recent engagement, Jeff led a major Wall Street firm’s resolution of dozens of related private claims and arbitrations arising from options trading losses. Based in our Boston office, he is one of a handful of practitioners to have litigated multiple cases before the Massachusetts Securities Division.
Jeff also counsels colleagues and clients on the Federal Arbitration Act and regularly handles matters where arbitrability is contested.
Jeff maintains an active pro bono practice. In 2024, he was honored with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s John Adams Pro Bono Publico Award for his trial and appellate work.
