End of EPA’s Endangerment Finding Creates Regulatory Cloud for Businesses, Lawyers Say, The National Law Journal

The National Law Journal quoted partner Doug Hastings in an article about the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) recission of the endangerment finding.

In discussing how states might fill the void in federal emissions standards as a result of the recission, Doug told the publication that California may aggressively pursue its own more stringent standards, though that will have limitations.

“You might see some more activity from California and certainly enforcement of its existing regulations, but it would be a little bit challenging for it to create an entirely new regulatory scheme with the current administration,” Doug said.
