Jane M. Manchisi concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract, business tort, fiduciary duty, and securities law claims. She also regularly assists clients with prosecuting construction and design defect claims and defends against consumer class actions. Through her experience as a federal law clerk, Jane provides valuable insight into litigation strategy for leading companies in a variety of industries, including banking, technology, commercial real estate, and healthcare. Jane handles all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation investigations through complex discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals, with a focus on strong written advocacy.
Jane has served as a key member of several successful trial and arbitration teams, including a bench trial victory for a director facing multi-million dollar claims for breach of fiduciary in state court.
In addition to her experience at Morgan Lewis, Jane served as a law clerk to the Honorable Harvey Bartle III of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania from 2010 to 2012 and 2017 to 2020.
While in law school, Jane interned at the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter of the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Jane was also a member of the Temple Moot Court Honor Society and a research editor for the Temple Law Review. Before law school, Jane served as a scheduling assistant for Virginia Governors Mark R. Warner and Timothy M. Kaine.
