2026 SBAI & DIFC Regional Capital, Global Opportunity – Opportunity in Resilience

Partners Sami Ben Dechiche and Kate Habershon will be speaking at an upcoming roundtable hosted by The Standards Board for Alternative Investments and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) on 30 April. The session will explore the practical and strategic considerations of setting up and running operations within the DIFC.

Sami will speak on the Legal Considerations panel at 9:00 am, where he will discuss setting up operations in the DIFC, including market access and fund-raising, business models and structuring, and personal legal considerations and common misconceptions.

Kate will speak on the Tax Considerations panel at 9:10 am, addressing key tax considerations for operating in and from the DIFC, including personal and corporate tax considerations as well as group and consolidated tax implications. She will be speaking alongside Barbara Schwartz, principal at ATOZ Tax Advisers.
