November 05, 2020

PHILADELPHIA, November 9, 2020: Morgan Lewis today welcomes Michael Kichline, a highly regarded litigation partner with more than two decades of experience advising clients on global securities and corporate governance litigation matters. Mike, who is resident in the Philadelphia office, joins Morgan Lewis from another global law firm.

“Mike is a seasoned litigator who shares our appreciation for offering clients comprehensive guidance for whatever legal issue may arise in today’s climate,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “He is well positioned to help our corporate and boardroom clients alike navigate the risk of and defend against litigation, particularly as shareholders watch companies respond to the global pandemic.”

Mike’s practice includes a variety of complex, high-stakes representations, including securities class actions, derivative suits, M&A disputes, ERISA matters, consumer class actions, business torts, contract disputes, and appellate matters. He has also counseled clients across a number of industries, including pharmaceuticals, energy, and banking, on alleged securities violations and global commercial disputes.

“With Mike on our team, we have further deepened our securities and commercial litigation bench, including for issuer-side securities litigation and corporate-governance disputes in specialized business courts,” said Gordon Cooney, leader of Morgan Lewis’s global Litigation Practice. “I have known Mike for a number of years and we are excited he is joining us.”

Mike’s arrival follows that of partner Jeffrey Boujoukos, who joined Morgan Lewis in the spring from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as director of the Philadelphia Regional Office. Jeff now leads the law firm’s securities enforcement practice.
