LONDON, December 15, 2020: Morgan Lewis advised MSP Sports Capital, a US sports investment group, in its significant minority shareholding in McLaren Racing, a McLaren Group company. MSP is investing 185 million British pounds ($248.6 million) and will acquire an initial 15% stake in the Formula 1 team.
MSP is a New York-based diversified sports investment group that invests in teams, leagues, and businesses in the sports ecosystem.
The cross-border Morgan Lewis team representing MSP included partners Richard Aldridge, Mark Geday, Paul Denham, Mike Pierides, Louise Skinner, and Daniel Losk, and associate Ben Davies. Partner Jeff Moorad, leader of Morgan Lewis’s global sports industry team, is also a principal at MSP.
