Morgan Lewis Advises Swift Current Energy in Sale of Solar Facility to Cypress Creek Renewables

HOUSTON AND BOSTON, March 11, 2026 – Morgan Lewis advised Swift Current Energy (Swift Current) in the sale of the company’s Steel River solar and storage project to Cypress Creek Renewables.

The Steel River energy facility combines 2,900 MWh (720 MW) of battery storage with 2,450 MWdc (1,500 MWac) of solar generation in three equal phases, making it one of the largest solar and energy storage projects in the United States.

Swift Current develops, commercializes, owns, and operates highly competitive, utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across North America.

Morgan Lewis partners Spencer Curtis and Michael Muller as well as associates Chris Miller and Anna Ellement represented Swift Current. The firm previously represented Swift Current on the sale of Prospect Power, a battery storage project.
