Morgan Lewis Finance Partner: Digital Assets Are Driving Opportunity in France, IFLR

IFLR spoke with partner Arnaud Grünthaler about the continued evolution of France’s fintech and digital assets market, including the impact of the European Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), the institutionalization of digital finance, and the growing demand for stablecoin and tokenized product offerings.

Arnaud discussed how MiCA has increased institutional investors’ appetite for stablecoin-based products and helped drive greater participation from traditional financial institutions in the crypto-assets market. He also highlighted key trends shaping the sector, including “the tokenisation of fund shares” and “the availability of stablecoins and the expansion of their use as a means of payment.” Looking ahead, Arnaud noted that “the greatest opportunity lies in the adoption of stablecoins and an increase in use cases, particularly among non-professional clients.”
