Institute for Portfolio Alternative (IPA) AltsGlobal Conference

Partner Kate Habershon was a moderator on the panel Tax Frontiers: Strategies for a Global Alternatives Market at the inaugural IPA AltsGlobal Conference in London on 11 November 2025. Kate and the panelists looked at how fund managers and investors must navigate increasingly complex international tax landscapes as the global footprint of alternative investments expands. The panel discussion explored how to optimize global tax exposure for international investors and unpack best practices for structuring cross-border alternative investment funds. They also compared offshore and onshore fund domiciliation and “below the fund” structuring to help participants evaluate the optimal structuring choices for today's global capital flows and discussed the tax treatment of performance fees and carried interest.
