LONDON, January 6, 2026: Morgan Lewis is pleased to welcome Katherine (Kat) Gibson as a partner in its market-leading global labor and employment practice. Arriving from DLA Piper, Kat is a trusted advisor to UK and multinational employers, bringing extensive experience in employment litigation, transactional support, business protection matters, and workplace data privacy.

“Global employers today are operating amid increasing regulatory shifts, technological advancement, and cross-border obligations,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “With her blend of in-house and private practice experience, Kat brings a practical perspective that will help clients navigate these pressures and opportunities and prepare their business for what’s next.”

Kat counsels domestic and international employers across the full spectrum of employment matters. Her experience spans employment litigation and transactional support, together with advising on restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, and associated enforcement litigation. Kat also guides clients on workplace data protection issues, including data subject access requests, employee monitoring, cross-border data transfers, and GDPR compliance. Kat’s earlier years in-house further inform her pragmatic approach to addressing employers’ operational and compliance needs.

“Kat adds meaningful breadth to our international team and aligns with the areas where we are seeing significant client demand,” said David McManus, leader of the firm’s global labor and employment practice. “Her skill set aligns seamlessly with our work in key industries and augments our international sports practice, and her combination of litigation, advisory, and data protection experience will be of tremendous value to clients across our platform.”

“Kat’s addition expands cross-practice opportunities and strengthens our ability to support clients in London and beyond. Her arrival reflects our continued investment in the London office, adding depth to our labor and employment offering and supporting the growth of both new and longstanding client relationships across the platform,” said Nick Bolter, managing partner of the London office.

Over the last year, the firm has substantially expanded in London with the addition of life sciences regulatory partner Jackie Mulryne, litigation partner Christian Tuddenham, tax partner Andrew Callaghan, and structured transactions partner Dasha Sobornova.
