The EU Pay Transparency Directive: One Year to Go – Are You Ready?

Wednesday, July 09, 2025
02:00 PM - 03:00 PM British Summer Time
09:00 AM - 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time

EU member states will soon be required to transpose the EU Pay Transparency Directive into domestic law. The Directive will introduce obligations such as requirements for pay structures that enable an assessment of work of equal value, publicly disclose gender pay gap data, and remediate gender pay gaps.

The Directive also introduces the possibility of enforcement and sanctions risks, including financial penalties for non-compliance and worker rights to claim compensation.

Building on our 2024 webinar, join us as we take a closer look at the Directive’s requirements, what organisations should be doing now to prepare, and the current implementation status across the EU.

Topics will include:

  • Meaning and scope of the Directive’s key definitions, including work of equal value, category of workers, pay, and worker
  • How to ensure pay structures are in place that enable the assessment of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value across categories of workers
  • Importance of trial-run pay audits to identify and proactively address any pay inequalities
  • Practical discussion regarding all key obligations under the Directive
  • Enforcement provisions and possible penalties applicable to noncompliant organisations
  • Impact of Works Councils and worker representatives
  • Considerations for global organisations with workers outside of the EU
  • Lessons from EU member states that have already published proposals regarding their implementation of the Directive
