Cross-Border Patent Litigation

The intellectual property team in Europe will host a seminar in the Munich office to address recent regional developments in IP law and practice. The program features presentations by IP partners Alexander Ritter and Hiroshi Sheraton and IP associate Moritz Sutterer.

Providing an overview of key issues and practical considerations relevant to companies managing IP in a cross-border context, the seminar will cover such topics as recent case law from the European Patent Office (EPO), the Unified Patent Court (UPC), Germany, and the United Kingdom and key current developments, including claim construction at the EPO, patent eligibility in the UK, inventive step and preliminary injunction proceedings at the UPC, and the latest developments in cross-border enforcement in the UPC and Germany.
