Morgan Lewis Deepens Private Client and Private Funds Tax Capabilities with Two-Partner Addition

January 12, 2026

MIAMI and NEW YORK, January 12, 2026: Morgan Lewis is deepening its private client and private fund tax practices with the additions of partner Daniel Hudson, resident in Miami, and Alexios Hadji, who returns as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Daniel joins Morgan Lewis’s private client practice—working closely with its tax practice—and arrives from Berger Singerman LLP. Alexios arrives from Dentons, rejoining the firm’s global tax practice with a focus on private funds and institutional investor tax structuring. Together, these additions advance the firm’s commitment to delivering integrated tax advice that benefits private clients, family offices, and investment managers across key financial centers and asset classes worldwide.

“As our clients’ wealth, investments, and business objectives become increasingly globalized, they seek advisers who can address private client planning, family office structures, and private funds through a global lens—establishing tax frameworks that are coordinated among jurisdictions and cross-border considerations,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Daniel and Alexios each bring experience advising clients at the intersection of these areas, and their additions enhance our delivery of sophisticated domestic and cross-border tax advice aligned with long-term goals and investment strategies.”

Daniel advises high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trust companies, private equity sponsors, and multinational corporations on a variety of US and cross-border business-related issues and international tax, trust, and succession planning matters. His practice primarily focuses on international tax structuring, inbound and outbound investment planning, and advising globally mobile families, including those with significant ties to Latin America, South America, and Europe.

“Private clients and family offices are managing thorny multijurisdictional tax and succession planning challenges alongside investment structures,” said Christina Fournaris, leader of the firm’s private client practice and co-leader of the firm’s family office strategic initiative. “Daniel’s experience advising globally mobile families and family offices—combined with his international tax background—bolsters our worldwide capabilities for private clients and family offices. Beyond his global practice, Daniel’s on-the-ground experience in Miami will boost our ability to help clients in this significant market for high-net-worth individuals and cross-border multigenerational family wealth.”

Alexios focuses on US and international tax considerations related to the structuring of transactions and business relationships, with a particular emphasis on advising private fund sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors on tax matters.

“Alexios’s return enhances our ability to advise private fund sponsors and institutional investor clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactional tax issues,” said Barton W. S. Bassett, leader of the firm’s global tax practice. “His experience working closely with investment managers will propel the integration of our investment management and tax offerings—particularly as clients seek consistent tax advice across private capital, family office, and fund structures.”
