Morgan Lewis Strengthens Structured Transactions Practice with Addition of In-House and Private Practice Veteran Joseph Gatti
February 23, 2026WASHINGTON, DC, February 23, 2026: Morgan Lewis today announced that Joseph Gatti has joined the firm as a partner in its leading structured transactions practice, based in the Washington, DC office. Joe brings extensive experience in securitization as well as asset management and corporate finance. Most recently, Joe served as executive vice president and head of legal at Amherst Residential, a real estate investment, development, and operating platform, where he led legal strategy.

Joe’s practice focuses on the structuring and execution of asset-backed securitizations and other structured finance transactions. He has significant experience across a range of financing structures, with a focus on single-family residential assets and residential mortgages. Joe advises financial institutions, investment managers, and other market participants across the full lifecycle of transactions, drawing on deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
