Morgan Lewis Advises Lime Rock Resources on $340M Continuation Vehicle Transaction

BOSTON and HOUSTON, August 31, 2026: Morgan Lewis advised Lime Rock Resources, an energy private equity firm focused on acquiring, operating and improving producing oil and gas properties across the United States, on the successful closing of a continuation vehicle transaction representing $340 million in aggregate transaction value for the remaining assets of Lime Rock Resources Fund III.

Vintage Strategies at Goldman Sachs Alternatives was the lead investor to anchor the Continuation Vehicle. The transaction gave existing Fund III investors the option to receive liquidity or continue their investment through a newly formed continuation vehicle. The continuation vehicle holds a diversified portfolio of oil and gas properties located entirely in the Bakken, the majority of which are operated by Lime Rock.

Lime Rock Resources is part of Lime Rock Management, a private equity platform with more than $10 billion raised since inception.

The Morgan Lewis team advising Lime Rock was led by Daniel Losk, Gerald Kehoe, Mark Opitz, Jason Capps and Richard Zarin, and included Alexios Hadji, Christine Schleppegrell, Joe Koronkowski, Thomas Crociata, Zina Barghash, Tyler Payne, Lauren Bidwell and Yara Ismael.
