For the twelfth consecutive year, Morgan Lewis served as the managing editor of the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG) titled Lending & Secured Finance Laws and Regulations 2024, published by Global Legal Group. The global lending guide features cutting-edge topics and 36 country-specific chapters. Firm lawyers have contributed four chapters to the guide, including those on the United States, Hong Kong, and United Arab Emirates, as well as the chapter titled Structuring Cross-Border Lending Transactions.
The guide is produced in partnership with the three leading trade associations for the global loan markets—the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA), the Loan Market Association (LMA), and the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA)—and serves as a leading guide of its kind.
Partner Thomas Mellor serves as the contributing editor of the guide, a role he has held since its inception. He also contributes to the preface. Tom, along with partners Kate Weinstein, Rick Denhup, and Sandra Vrejan, co-author the US chapter. Partners Grigory Marinichev and Changyu “David” Liao co-author the Hong Kong chapter. Partners Alexey Chertov, Sourabh Bhattacharya, Oluwatomisin Mosuro, and Alexander Tombak co-author the UAE chapter.
Tom, along with of counsel Marcus Marsh and associate Suzanne Dabage De La Espriella, co-authored the introductory chapter titled An Introduction to Legal Risk and Structuring Cross-Border Lending Transactions.
